There are other cities that currently do this, and it can make much greater use of all the compostable goods available now. Routing food waste to a city-run compost facility would help reduce landfill waste and produce energy.
As part of the USI Wireless contract, Minneapolis offers free wireless in 117 hotspots that are spread around the City. There is no rhyme or reason to their location and public awareness is limited.
