Possessing a Small Amt of Cannabis Should Result in a Civil Fine

Currently in Minnesota, possession of less than 1.5 ounces (42.5g) of cannabis is a petty misdemeanor. While this is certainly preferable to a felony, the fact is that a petty misdemeanor is still a criminal offense with the potential to wreak long-term harm. Don't arbitrarily delete ideas posted to this website.

This website was created in order to get ideas from the residents of Minneapolis on how the city can best achieve the goals that the city council and the mayor have set. Unfortunately, one of the ideas I submitted was arbitrarily removed from the site. No explanation was given for the idea's removal. Crosswalk Enforcement Prioritized.

Direct Minneapolis Police to enforce the State of MN pedestrian laws, focusing on the crosswalk law. This is seldom observed or enforced. To make major change all we need to do in enforce laws already on the books.
