Provide Aging in Place resources to support our senior community and to enable them to stay in their homes and neighborhoods. This includes funding for retrofitting homes with hand rails, ramping, etc. to make them safe.

Bicycle Safety

Bicycles should be required to have the same safety equipment as Motorcycles are required to have (brakes, headlights, taillights, turn signals, horn).

 

Bicycles should also be required to display a lighted license plate so that they can be identified.

Shrink Government

Shrink the size of Minneapolis government. Business in this city is tied hand and foot in every conceivable way. We need fewer laws and regulations; we need the freedom to be productive. Our city government needs to get out of the way so individuals and businesses can make wealth.

More trees: success defined by a healthy tree canopy

We will be losing 260,000+ trees to emerald asher borer. Trees need to be planted on boulevards, park land, residential, and commercial properties now to maintain our current air quality, water quality, and other lesser known benefits such as energy efficiency in buildings and carbon retention provided by this significant amount of trees.

When someone moves to Minneapolis the city provides them with a welcome basket containing the following: A bicycle (or a nice ride one year membership), 6 pack of locally brewed beer, a pass to one of the great cultural events, and bomber hat.
